I want to help parents who want their children to have a more personalized education but who are unable to or not comfortable homeschooling their children. I know that although classroom teachers are working hard, the challenge of balancing the students who need extra help to catch up, average students and those who need more challenging work is often leaving many students behind. The pressures placed by the administration and the state complicated it even more. The COVID online school situation has only increased the challenges. Many children have fallen behind during this time. It is very hard in a traditional classroom to catch up once you fall behind, in addition to the embarrassment many students feel if they need additional help. Advanced students often have challenges in a traditional classroom because they usually have to do the grade level work before doing extra work because they complete the other work very quickly. They are often unable to work on topics that interest them
