How will the One Room Schoolhouse be special?

The goal of the One Room Schoolhouse is geared toward providing a homeschool style education for parents who aren't comfortable teaching their children themselves and also want additional socialization opportunities.

The One Room Schoolhouse will be different from most other schools in a number of different ways:

1) The classes will use literature for subject content instead of textbooks.

2) Narration (telling back information) and discussion will be used instead of worksheet for all subjects except math and language arts.

3) Instead of sitting inside at desk, learning will take place outside when weather permits.

4) Instruction for math and reading will be geared to the individual student.

5) Students will learn and socialize in a multi-age environment.
